Welcome to Tulsa! We are so excited you're here, and can't wait to have a great week. This email will be your best friend, bringing your daily Angus Agenda with messages from the Junior Board, important information and helpful resources.

Angus juniors, let's remember to wash our hands, have fun and make the most of this week. We know that for the Angus family NJAS is one of the best parts of the summer. It's been a crazy year, but this week It's All OK!

Hello Juniors!

Well it’s that time of the year and I could not be more excited to see you guys this week in Tulsa! Things have been a little hectic these past few months, but to say we are ready to rock and roll for this week would be an understatement. I hope with your extra time at home you’ve been working hard on your cattle and enjoying some quality time with family. This week may look a little different, but I encourage each and every one of you to have an upbeat attitude with great enthusiasm to take on Tulsa time.

Now, come Friday the show will end and folks will head home, but no one will forget the memories made and time well spent at yet another cow show in the heat of July. I look forward to seeing you all succeed and chase your dreams the next few days. I must say it has been a pleasure to serve these past two years on the Junior Board and I can’t wait to see you all step up into leadership positions to take this breed forward and continue to make a difference. Good luck and have fun!

Power of Perspective

Different. A word that we have all became very familiar with lately. Different, confusing times both ahead and behind us.

Though this year may have a different look and feel from years past, we as an Angus Family can, and will, pull together to make the best of it. The early mornings in the barn feeding and rinsing, and late nights waiting to turn calves out are still worth it. The long hot days in the sun are still worth it. The hours working hair for that final show ring pop are still worth it. The hours put into memorizing speeches for contests, are still worth it.

The end goal may look a little different, but it has not vanished. The show must go on. This is where the power of perspective has a huge role.

Let your perspective be thankful. Thankful that you and your family are healthy, that you are able to travel to a place like the National Junior Angus Show. Thankful that you have the opportunity to exhibit on this level. Allow your perspective to stay strong. Have strength when dealing with uncertain situations. Be strong when you think you may never prevail. Find strength to deal with troubling times.

Through all of this be strong, courageous, and thankful that you are able to exhibit at the largest junior national in the country. Keep a positive perspective and make the best out of this week. These are the moments that will last forever.
